ABOUT CLAIRE

Claire Atkins is a multi-disciplined artist working across visual arts and performance.

Claire studied at the UNSW College of Fine Arts as a visual artist eons ago, and in the last five years has turned her attention to include performance.

Most recently she performed in Bianca Blades’s absurdist comedy, ‘Zero Gravity’ at La Boite Theatre in Meanjin/Brisbane, as part of their 2025 centenary celebrations and Assembly+.

She has worked as a performer and devisor, playing through-line characters for main-stage productions with HOTA’s home company Everybody NOW, for their award-winning roller-skating spectacle, ‘Roller Coaster’, and on major place-based works in NSW, including NORPA’s award-winning, ‘Love For One Night’.

For independent and community theatre, she has collaborated with Eddie Perfect in a reimagining of his comedy musical play, ‘Vivid White’, and has firmly cemented her reputation as a shapeshifter, playing a legion of characters in BTC’s stunning adaptation of ‘Tiny Beautiful Things’.

Claire is also a recording artist, and in 2020 released an EP of original songs, titled ETERNAL RETURN, co-produced with Paul Pilsneniks (Angus & Julia Stone, SilverChair, Powder Finger).
